When Joe told us that he had finally proposed to Laura, we were so happy for them and ready to get planning. The groom in one state, the bride in the other and the photographers in a completely different one and an inability to return text messages made this wedding so completely unexpected that I was actually a little worried. However, it was the only time I've ever seen Joe get emotional over something and I had the challenge of snapping away while my husband stood grinning like a Cheshire Cat as Joe's best man. They were the absolute sweetest couple, with only very close friends and family in attendance and Joe's grandfather performing the ceremony. A beautiful dock on a small lake surrounded by trees made for a perfect ceremony and nothing could have been more romantic than the groom requesting just a few moments with his new bride alone after the ceremony and before starting pictures and the reception. Here's just a glimpse into this beautifully simple and elegant wedding in Sevierville, TN. It made for a long weekend, but it was worth every mile driven.
